Located in a very central area, and partially flanked by major roads, the scheduling of the delivery and installation of each machine required planning with the local authorities. The limited surface area of the site, also excavated to a depth of 7m, required extensive site planning to determine best positioning and productivity.

“2023 has been a tremendous year for us, with Assistedile participating in important developments in the city of Milan, in addition to projects across northern Italy. The deployment of these two additional Raimondi cranes marks another significant achievement for our company,” stated Luciano Friso, CEO, Assistedile.

Rented for approximately 12 months, the MRT102 was installed on a ballast base in May 2023. With a final configuration of 50m height under the hook (HUH) and a jib length of 48m, the crane has been chosen as the supporting machine in the construction phase of the structural works, including reinforced concrete and metal carpentry.

“The MRT213, which will remain onsite until completion of the project, is erected on foundation elements GR6 at a freestanding height of 77m and with a jib length of 60m. With a hoist power of 45kW, the topless crane can lift at a maximum speed of 90m/min resulting in excellent and effective performance,” said Friso.

The project, part of the Portello area’s re-urbanization development, is planned to have facilities for 500 staff members, an urban garden, an auditorium, and a contemporary museum accessible to public. Upon completion, the project is intended to be one of the most eco-friendly buildings in Milan.
