Fresh from his maiden victory in Silverstone three weeks ago, Kevin Ceccon is enjoying that winning feeling yet again!

This time the Italian driver made a great start from the front row to take the lead and hold off the advances from ART Grand Prix and Mercedes junior Esteban Ocon to clock victory by a mere 0.7s. Koiranen GP’s Jimmy Eriksson completed the rostrum in third.

Carlin and Ferrari Academy Driver Antonio Fuoco started from reverse pole but he was beaten off the start from the quick-flying and his fellow compatriot Ceccon. Emil Bernstorff was also on the attack and found a way through on the Carlin driver. Fuoco was keen to reclaim his position at the front as the trio enjoyed a heated battle on the opening lap. Unfortunately, contact was made between Fuoco and Bernstorff between Turn 6 and 7 as they raced side by side, with the Carlin driver ending his race in the barrier and Bernstorff retiring with damage.
